Process

It all starts with an overall design for your home and garden — a whole space that blends seamlessly together. In the end, your garden should look as if it wasn’t designed at all but that it has always been there.

  • These are done in plan view, and to-scale. The sketches show different ideas and explore various solutions for the space. After reviewing them together, a Final Sketch — or Master Plan — is made.

  • Based on approval of the Final Sketch, Construction Drawings begin. Depending on the scope of the project, we create a series of CAD drawings which are sent to contractors for bidding and used during the construction phase. Drawing sheets often include a construction, planting, and lighting plans.

  • During construction, we periodically observe the project to ensure the best possible outcome and compliance with the design intent and construction documents.
